Foundation of “Kabelwerk Jacob” in Ennepetal-Voerde, production of electrical cables.

1957
Renamed to “Kunststoffwerk Jacob” and entry into PVC extrusion.

1959
Acquisition by the current shareholder families and renaming to Kunststoffwerk VOERDE Hueck & Schade.
Expansion of production of PVC profiles and extrusion products.

1962
Start of PVC compound production, initially for internal use, later also for external processors.
Entry into the raw materials business with PVC compounds.

1968
Start of cooperation with Hoechst AG, Frankfurt am Main.

  • Production and distribution based on a licensing agreement

From 1968 onwards
Continuous development of the partnership with Hoechst AG, forming the basis for the later collaboration with LyondellBasell.

Start of toll compounding of polyamide compounds.

Expansion of production capacity through construction of production building GB1.

Commissioning of the first compounding line with a co-rotating twin-screw extruder.

Further capacity expansion for engineering polymers with production building GB2.

Expansion of production capacity with a new production hall (GB3) including additional GMP compounding lines.

Capacity expansion in compounding.

2011
Phase-out of PVC compounding.
Expansion to include underwater and strand pelletizing technologies.

Capacity expansion in compounding.

Introduction of compounding for high-temperature-resistant polymers.

Construction of new reception and social facilities.
Expansion of storage capacity.

Phase-out of PVC profile and pipe extrusion.

Investment in dosing systems for demanding fiber materials.
