Laboratory & Pilot Plant

Modifications according to the applications of the plastic granules and plastic profiles that Kunststoffwerk VOERDE produces and sells, are designed by the Technical Development / Laboratory.
An up-to-date laboratory with a computer-based colour measuring system, and an extensive range of testing and measuring devices is available.

Priorities in the laboratory:

• Product development and adjustment
• Development of colour formulations
• Colour matching and in-process hue monitoring
• Monitoring of the production processes and of the product quality
• Problem and failure analysis
• Incoming goods inspection of resins and raw materials

The pilot plant allows small-scale compounding, simulating mass production conditions. It allows to deal with issues regarding the development of recipes and processes prior to the scale-up to mass production.
